The Mumbai Port Authority’s Navarambh Programme To Strengthen The Capabilities Of New Workforce

mumbai : Mumbai Port Authority organized the valedictory ceremony of Navarambh induction training program at Taj Hotel on Wednesday, bringing together newly inducted officials of Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India. The event marks the completion of an intensive orientation initiative aimed at strengthening the capabilities of the authority’s incoming workforce.
Corporate trainer and motivational speaker Avinash Chate delivered the keynote address, drawing on his experiences as a leading Corporate Trainer and Motivational Speaker in Mumbai. He emphasized the need for integrity, alignment and collaborative leadership in public sector roles and encouraged new hires to approach their responsibilities with purpose and accountability.
“Joining an organization is only the first step,” Chate told attendees. “What really matters is how we carry forward values that contribute to national development and institutional progress.”
Senior officials from the Mumbai Port Authority said the Navarambh program is designed to introduce new entrants to organizational values, operational systems and the evolving priorities of India’s port and maritime sector. The week-long training covered departmental functions, port operations, behavioral skills and the Ministry’s broader vision for port-focused growth.
Officials stated that sessions led by outside experts added depth to the program and helped participants transition into their roles with confidence. “Involvement like this enables our teams to start their journey with clarity, self-confidence and a sense of responsibility,” said a senior official.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates and thanks to all facilitators and participants, thus marking the official beginning of the recruit’s journey in one of the oldest and most critical maritime institutions in the country.
