Republic Day 2026: Parade boasts Indian military might with Rafales, BrahMos, & Operation Sindoor tableaux
During the 77th Republic Day Parade 2026, India displayed a series of tableaus showcasing the country’s emerging defense capabilities and advanced technology. At a time when indigenous artillery has become the core of India’s war strategy, President Droupadi Murmu will preside over grand celebrations at Kartavya Road in New Delhi, with European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen joining the Republic Day celebrations as Chief Guests.
This is the first Republic Day after Operation Sindoor, where the country showcased its defense and military excellence by destroying terrorist bases in Pakistan. Today, the Ministry of Defense showcased some of the best indigenous weapons that place the country among the best military powers in the world.

As the Republic Day Parade began, 4 Mi-17 1V helicopters belonging to 129 Helicopter Corps flew in ‘Dhwaj Formation’ and showered flowers on Kartavya Road.
