Three shark attacks in Sydney are a ‘Black Swan event’: unexpected, highly unusual and high impact’. They had a chilling effect on coastal communities and despite the heat of the Australia Day weekend, few people were on the water as usual.
Everyone has an opinion about sharks. Some of them are pretty crazy. In between culling calls we check the theories, accusations, numbers and what can be done (drones etc). but the truth is that surfers and sharks coexist peacefully most of the time.
