New Kendriya Vidyalaya to open in Chittoor from 2026-27

Following the approval of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), a new Kendriya Vidyalaya will be established at Mangasamudram in Chittoor district. The school is among the 57 new Kendriya Vidyalayas approved by the Union government under the civil sector in October 2025.

According to the official order, the school will become operational from the 2026-27 academic year after the designated land is transferred to KVS and suitable temporary accommodation is documented. The school will initially operate from temporary premises on the Central Silk Board campus opposite Ward Sachivalayam in Iruvaram on the outskirts of Chittoor.

In the first phase, admissions will be offered in one section each from Balvatika I to III and Class I to V. The institution will expand in phases based on feasibility and regulatory approvals. The instruction stated that admissions for the 2026-27 period will be made according to the KVS calendar after the completion of the procedural formalities.
