Kapus Support Bolisetti Satya’s Comments

KAKINADA: Jana Sena leader Bolisetti Satyanarayana’s remarks that the Telugu Desam did not comply with the alliance norms and Jana Sena cadres were not given a proper share of the nominated posts caused tremors in the Kapu community.
Many Kapu leaders supported Satyanarayana’s words. Kapu Nadu chief counsel DN Ramesh stated that the Kapus led by him had met Chandrababu Naidu before the 2014 elections and wanted the Kapus to be given proper recognition. Following this, the Pithapuram assembly seat was given to Kapus. He said this helped Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan win the 2024 elections.
However, he said, “Pawan Kalyan did nothing. Even Jana Sena functionaries are worried about this.” He suggested that Pawan Kalyan should step up and get the lion’s share of the posts nominated for JS.
Another leader J Nagababu said the Jana Sena party lacks adequate representation at the grassroots level. “Naidu thinks his power is high and he does not give Jana Sena the nominated posts based on the percentage of seats the party has in the assembly.”
Nagababu said that he along with other Kapu leaders had warned Pawan Kalyan before forming an alliance with Naidu in 2024. He said Pawan Kalyan should devise strategies to strengthen the party at all levels by appointing a group of coordinators.
He said Kapus has the power to organize BCs, SCs and STs in the Jana Sena fold and Pawan Kalyan should act accordingly. “Kalyan will do justice to all the communities that support him.”
He said that in the current alliance government, injustice has been done to the OS in the appointed posts and this needs to be corrected.
