Three more men charged after attack on Pakistani dissidents in UK

Three more men have been charged over allegations they planned to attack the British homes of two Pakistani dissidents.
The trio are variously accused of carrying out attacks at an address in Cambridgeshire and an address in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, on Christmas Eve 2025.
The Metropolitan Police said Asaf Afsar, 40, Mark Regan, 53, and Liam McGarry, 25, were charged over the incidents on Wednesday.
Afsar and Regan, both from Birmingham, have been charged with assault and two counts of conspiracy to commit bodily harm in connection with the two incidents.
McGarry, of Warwick, is charged only with assault and conspiracy to cause bodily harm in relation to the incident in Cambridgeshire.
They will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
Four other people were previously charged in connection with the investigation.
Louis Regan, 25, of Birmingham, and Karl Blackbird, 40, of Bedworth, face two charges of conspiracy to commit assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Clark McAulay, 39, of Coventry, faces a charge of conspiracy to commit assault occasioning actual bodily harm in relation to the incident in Chesham.
And Doneto Brammer, 21, of Wood Green, north London, faces charges of possessing a prohibited weapon, conspiracy to commit arson with intent to endanger life and conspiracy to commit arson by being reckless as to whether life would be endangered.
A court heard Brammer was charged in connection with a separate incident on New Year’s Eve last year.
The four were detained last month ahead of a hearing at the Old Bailey on February 13.
