“I’m strong enough, I’m skilled enough and I’ve got my skills back, so I can do it and I don’t actually notice it at all. The goal is still the same; I’d love to get an Olympic medal.”

Thomas was asked about the Olympic course at that conference and said it was big and interesting but included standard jumps.
“This gives us a lot of opportunities for a lot of different tricks. All the features are really trickable, which is very refreshing,” he said.
“When you go to the Olympic course, the rails are much higher off the ground and much longer. Some of the rails are taller than me (165 centimeters), but it’s a lot of fun. This relationship with fear is why so many of us do this sport.”
