India Plans to Purchase $500 Bn of US Goods Over Next 5 Years

New Delhi: According to the joint statement, India plans to purchase goods worth $500 billion from the United States over the next five years, including energy products, aircraft and aircraft parts, precious metals, technology products and coking coal. It was stated that the two countries will significantly increase trade in technology products, including Graphics Processing Units and other products used in data centers, and expand joint technology cooperation.
“India plans to purchase energy products, aircraft and aircraft parts, precious metals, technology products and coking coal worth USD 500 billion in the next five years,” the statement said.
He added that the US and India are committed to addressing discriminatory or burdensome practices and other barriers to digital trade and setting a clear path to achieve robust, ambitious and mutually beneficial digital trade rules as part of a bilateral trade agreement.
