Eufy names Bradford as the worst place to live in the UK in 2026. The security company recently revealed the 10 worst places to live, based on crime statistics, social problems and economic hardship. According to Eufy, the West Yorkshire city has been struggling with rising crime rates in recent years, particularly an increase in drug activity and economic crime.

Eufy said: “Bradford has become one of the worst places to live in the UK, plagued by high crime rates. According to Numbeo, it ranks high on the UK’s crime index, largely due to drug activity and economic crime. Crime rates are 90% above the national average and despite the abundance of CCTV cameras, security remains a major concern for residents.”
Data from Numbeo shows crime rates in Bradford have increased over the last five years. Local residents reported robberies, car thefts, assaults, drug dealing and vandalism.
Meanwhile, statistics from West Yorkshire Police revealed 560 crimes were reported in Bradford, which has a population of around 560,000, last December. This included 166 violent and sexual offences, 61 cases of theft, 42 cases of criminal damage and arson and 40 cases of antisocial behaviour.

Bradford has many reviews on TripAdvisor. Many people note that, like many other parts of the UK, the city has both beautiful areas and less beautiful areas.
Wild Rumpus Travel said: “Like many cities, it has nice parts but not so nice parts. It has thriving communities and interesting museums. It also has deprivation and poverty.”
Alex Y added: “I stayed for a few days while working nearby. I found it remarkable. Some of the places I saw were no more or less run-down than other parts I’ve visited in the UK.”
Englandsscout wrote: “This is a city with its rough/downsides, like many others, not one that many holiday visitors from abroad will see on the list, to each their own I guess and yes I was too, mind you not as a tourist.”
