The league has publicly considered the idea of moving the Super Bowl to Presidents’ Day weekend to offer some some sort of holiday on Monday, when many companies, schools and businesses are closed the day after the game. But Weather Underground’s forecast reveals the three-day plan could be a Valentine’s Day weekend heartbreaker for the NFL, predicting more than 1.5 inches of rain next Saturday night (Feb. 14) through Monday afternoon.
Outside of the sporting events, all eyes will be on Grammy-winning Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny’s historic halftime performance. He is expected to deliver the first Super Bowl set sung entirely in Spanish.
Bad Bunny, one of the world’s biggest artists, has been a vocal critic of Donald Trump’s crackdown on immigrants. Speculation is rife that he could use his giant Super Bowl platform to double down.
The US president claimed the performance would “sow seeds of hatred” and will not attend this year’s match.
