Law College Student Kills Classmate, Later Shoots Self

Tarn Taran: A first-year law school student in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district allegedly shot a fellow student and later shot himself with the same gun on Monday. Deputy Superintendent of Police Jagbir Singh stated that Prince Raj opened fire on Sandeep Kaur in the classroom, leading to her death. He later shot himself. Security camera footage of the attack went viral on social media.

However, the police stated that it was not yet determined why Raj killed Kaur, adding that the investigation was ongoing. Police said both were first-year students of Mai Bhago College of Law in Usma village in the district.

Class had not yet started when Raj came to the classroom and shot Kaur in the head with a gun. He later shot himself in the classroom with the same gun, the police official said. Prince Raj, a resident of Mallian village, killed Sandeep Kaur belonging to Naushehra Pannuan. While Kaur died at the scene, Raj was hospitalized in critical condition.

The gun used in the shooting has been seized and police officials are questioning students and staff present at the time and reviewing CCTV footage from the facility.
