Malkajgiri and Cyberabad police commissionerates have imposed prohibitory orders around counting centers in their jurisdictions in view of the counting of votes in Telangana Municipal polls-2026 scheduled to be held on Friday, February 13, 2026.
In Malkajgiri commissionerate, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) C H Sridhar issued a notification prohibiting assembly of five or more people within a 500-metre radius of the counting center at TGMRSJC in Jaganguda, under Shamirpet police station limits in Muduchintalapally Municipality. Restrictions will remain in effect from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on February 13.

Meanwhile, Cyberabad commissionerate Serilingampally DCP, Ch. Srinivas issued a separate notification banning gatherings of five or more people within a 500-metre radius of three counting centers from 5 am on February 13 to 6 am on February 14.
The centers under the Siberabad Police order include Tribal Welfare Degree College for Boys in Peddakanjerla village of Indresham Municipality within Patancheru police station limits, Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) in Isnapur village of Isnapur Municipality within Patancheru police station limits and ZPHS at Gaddapotharam village of Gaddapotharam Municipality within IDA Bollaram police station limits. is taking.
Separately, Quthbullapur district in-charge DCP, T. Sai Manohar also issued prohibitory orders against two municipal counting centers in his jurisdiction. The restrictions will apply from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on February 13 within a 500-meter radius of designated centers. These include Bharath Bible College in Dabilpur village of Yellampet Municipality within Medchal police station limits and Sri T. Chaitanya School in Majeedpur under Aliyabad municipality within Genom Valley police station limits.
This order was issued to protect public order and tranquility, to prevent obstruction, disturbance or injury to persons on duty in accordance with the law and not to disturb public peace. Both Commission members warned that any person found to be in violation of the prohibitory orders would be subject to prosecution under the relevant provisions of law.
