UK solar energy firm plunges into administration – ‘fantastic company’ | UK | News

A solar company loved by its customers went into administration this week. Customers have said that UK Solar Experts, which installs and manufactures solar panels, offers the best customer service they have ever received.
However, according to a report in The Gazette, on February 10, the Manchester-based company appointed Leonard Curtis’ Mike Dillon and Hilary Pascoe as joint administrators. The company has merged with Titan Energy Systems, a solar energy company also based in Middleton, to strengthen its services and offer customer support, according to Trustpilot. It has described itself as a leader in residential solar installation.
This could be a blow to the area, as UK Solar Experts has received several quid online reviews, with a 4.2 rating on Google from more than 100 reviews, with customers praising their level of service.
One wrote: “I inquired about solar panels as I was finally ready to invest and they were up and running within a week. I don’t think you could ask for better service than this. When you call them you are talking to a human being.”
Another customer described it as a “great customer focused company” and wrote: “I have never received such a high standard of service from any other company in my life. Thank you all for doing a great job and making the whole experience enjoyable.”
It joins several other businesses that appointed administrators in February. Calmont Homes, a British property development and management company, appointed joint administrators on 9 February, the day before UK Solar Specialists.
According to its website, it has been delivering a mix of residential, commercial and leisure projects for 20 years, with offices in Scotland and the north and south of England.
ALN Carpentry & Joinery, a carpentry firm based in Suffolk, has also recently appointed administrators, according to a report in The Gazette. He has carried out work on properties including slabs, beams and decking in East Anglia and South East England.
