US Military Strikes Another Alleged Drug Boat in Caribbean, Killing 3

Washington: The US military said it had carried out a new deadly attack on a ship accused of drug smuggling in the Caribbean Sea.
U.S. Southern Command said on social media that the boat “was traveling along known drug trafficking routes in the Caribbean and was involved in drug trafficking operations.” It was stated that 3 people died in the attack. A video linked to the post shows a boat moving through the water before bursting into flames.
Friday’s attack brought the death toll to 133 people in at least 38 attacks since early September in the Caribbean Sea and eastern Pacific Ocean in the Trump administration’s alleged attacks on drug boats.
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced last week that “some of the top drug trafficking cartels” in the region “have decided to indefinitely cease all narcotics operations due to recent (highly effective) kinetic attacks in the Caribbean.” However, Hegseth did not provide any details or information to support this claim in his post on his personal account on social media.
President Donald Trump said the United States was in an “armed conflict” with cartels in Latin America and justified the attacks as a necessary escalation to stop the flow of drugs. But his administration has offered little evidence to support his claims that he killed “narcoterrorists.”
