Ex-MI6 boss issues brutal Trump v Putin verdict – ‘played him like a violin’ | World | News

Vladimir Putin “Donald played Trump like a violin” – but now he may have pushed things very forward, the former president of MI6 warned.
Sir Alex Younger, who led the UK’s Secret Intelligence Service from 2014 to 2020, said that the Russian President was trying to manipulate Mr. Trump by offering a wrong sense of friendship for his backfire plan because he strengthened his attitude over the US leader Ukraine.
He said: “He has played Trump like a violin so far. This idea has created the idea that spouses and their equivalents are equivalent and that they can solve the problems in the world. Sir Alex commented on Thursday during an in -depth interview at BBC Newsnight and said that Mr. Putin misrepresented both political and military reality.
He said: “He exaggerates his hand. And he has no military solution.”
“In three years, he lost a million men and has less regions than 22, okay? So Trump is his only answer. He plays very dangerous here.”
The relations between Mr. Trump and Mr. Putin seem to have caused in recent months, abandoning the idea that US President Moscow’s invasion has somehow provoked by Kiiv and instead of dragging Kremlin for a brutal war.
He said: “If you want to know the truth, we take too many bulls thrown to us by Putin. It turns out that it is always very good, but meaningless.”
He also said that if Russia once occupied Ukraine, Mr. Putin would once “bomb Moscow”.
He said: “I said with Putin, ‘If you go to Ukraine, I will bomb Moscow from Moscow. I tell you that I have no other option.’
Added: “I told them the same thing [China]. I said, ‘If you enter Taiwan, I will bomb S *** from Beijing’ I said. “
Although he had previously stopped military aid to Ukraine, Mr. Trump has now confirmed a new arms tour, including Patriot air defense systems through NATO.
He said: “We will send patriots to NATO, and then NATO will distribute it. NATO will pay back the full cost.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that there was a “positive dialogue” with Trump and confirmed that he wanted 10 Patriot system to help defend a fluctuation in Russian air strikes.
He said: “Germany is ready to pay for two patriots, and for one, Norway and other European partners are ready to help.”
Mr. Trump said he would make a “great statement” in Russia on Monday, although he did not clarify the issue.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Washington wanted to deliver existing Patriot batteries to accelerate delivery from Germany and Spain to Ukraine.
He said: “We continued to encourage our NATO allies to provide these weapons … Because they are in their stocks.”
“Then we can enter the financial agreements … where they can buy backups.”
His comments came because Ukraine was beaten by the record 728 drones on a single night. Mr. Zelensky warned that Russia could soon push this number to 1,000.
He said: “Patriots are the real protectors of life.”
According to the UN, June has seen the highest monthly civilian losses in Ukraine since the war began, 232 people were killed and wounded more than 1,300.
Patriot systems, each up to $ 1 billion, are considered necessary for the layered air defense network of Ukraine, including older Soviet S-300s and Nazams. They are used to defend critical infrastructure, including electrical power plants and military bases.
Despite Mr. Putin’s efforts to manipulate Western leaders, Sir Alex showed that Mr. Trump may have misrepresented the moment of the changing tone of the Russian leader.
He said: “He thought he had a clear goal. But now he’s faced with a US that may be serious again.”
