Lorna Luxe says ‘today is the hardest’ in an emotional update on Valentine’s Day as she grieves the loss of her husband John three days after his death from cancer

Lorna Luxe said ‘today is the hardest’ as she shared an emotional Valentine’s Day update as she grieves the loss of her husband John.

The 43-year-old influencer announced earlier this week that 64-year-old John passed away after his battle with adrenal cancer, and that he died while holding John’s hand.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Lorna opened up about her heartbreak in a deeply moving post.

Sharing a memory of the couple kissing, she wrote: ‘3rd day without John and it was the hardest.

‘I read a quote today that said: ‘To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides’ and I think I should experience that.’

She added that she would be stepping back from social media for a while, telling followers: ‘I’m going to be a bit quiet on here, but I’m reading your messages and I’m seeing your comments and I appreciate them very much.’

The 43-year-old influencer announced earlier this week that John, 64, had passed away following a battle with adrenal cancer.

It comes after Lorna shared a never-before-seen clip of herself and her late husband John in their “favourite place” as they paid another emotional tribute to him after his passing.

The influencer took to her Instagram stories on Friday with a video of John enjoying a delicious plate of cacio and pepe spaghetti at a lavish restaurant.

Lorna fondly remembered the moment when she wrote the caption: ‘Cecconi’s Mayfair is our place…

‘I never shared this video, not sure why but John, cacio and pepe.’

John, who is 21 years Lorna’s senior, battled stage four adrenal cancer after being diagnosed in April 2023. The couple had been married for 16 years.

The influencer revealed to her 1.6 million followers last month that John’s cancer had spread and treatment was ‘no longer an option’.

He announced his death on Instagram: ‘My beautiful, brave John died yesterday. My heart is broken.

‘We were together until the end, at home, in our own bed, holding hands, and that was exactly what he wanted.

‘The last conversation we had I asked him how he felt and he replied ‘rough but in love’ and that was so much so that he had chosen to put his fears aside to make me feel valued and loved.

‘John and I were so grateful to the district nurses who came every day to support and comfort us.

‘Anna was his favorite nurse and his kindness to her was beyond beyond measure; she was a real life angel.

‘We couldn’t have spent the last few days together at home without this attention and my mother who kept me strong when I needed to stay strong for John.

‘John, you are a very good person and I will love you forever.’

The couple kept their followers informed throughout John’s treatment after saying they were by his side when he went into remission in November 2023.

But in a tragic turn of events, the former banker’s cancer returned in May 2024 and spread to his brain.

A sweet tribute came from Sophie Hinchliffe, better known as Mrs Hinch, who told Lorna ‘millions of us are here to keep you going’.

In the comments she wrote: ‘Lorna, I’m so very sorry. My heart literally sank while reading this. I have followed your page for so long and the love you and John have shared has always been, and always will be, so inspiring. No one can take away your memories, your love, or those quiet one-on-one conversations that you will carry with you forever. These are yours. Yours and John’s. Always. Sending you so much love, Lorna. Millions of us are here to keep you up.✨ xxx’

Molly-Mae Hague was among those who sent messages of support following the sad announcement, writing: ‘Heartbroken for you. Rest in peace John. ‘I’m so sorry for your loss.’

Condolences also came from Love Island stars Rosie Williams and Olivia Bowen, as well as many other star friends.
