Iran deputy foreign minister ready for nuclear deal compromises with U.S.

Iran has maintained that it is open to compromise on a nuclear deal with the United States if the administration is willing to discuss lifting sanctions, a senior Iranian official said Sunday.

Iran’s deputy foreign minister, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, also said in an interview that the ball was “in the court to prove that America wants to make a deal,” adding: “If they are sincere, I am confident that we will be on the path to reaching a deal.”

But Takht-Ravanchi on Sunday pointed to Tehran’s offer to dilute its stockpile of enriched uranium to 60% purity as evidence of its willingness to compromise, the BBC reported.
