Cynthia Erivo fought back her emotions during the curtain call at the opening night of her one-woman play Dracula in London on Tuesday.
The 39-year-old Wicked actor sinks his teeth into the role of Dracula and 22 other characters in his unique adaptation of Bram Stoker’s iconic novel in his one-man show at the Noel Coward Theatre.
She appeared to be holding back tears as she reacted to the audience’s applause after the press junket.
Cynthia showed off her incredibly muscular arms in the black vest top, with costume blood on her forehead.
At the end of the show, the Wicked star was seen proudly taking a bow alongside the rest of his support cast.
She was supported on opening night by her A-list friends, including Florence Pugh.

30-year-old Florence, who was among the leading guests, looked stylish in a high-collared black velvet dress.
Names such as Lizzie Cundy, Myleene Klass and Lady Victoria Hervey also attended the show.
Just last week, Cynthia was accused of ‘using phone receivers’ to remember her lines in the adaptation.
According to The Telegraph, first impressions left many viewers “disappointed” as they found the star “feeding on his words”.
Disgruntled theater goers flocked to social media, Reddit and various West End blogs to share their opinions.
They wrote: ‘Saw it last night and was SO disappointed. One interesting thing about the last 30 minutes: I spent this time wondering when the show would end. ‘I’m normally a big fan of the theatre, but frankly I was disappointed to spend £70 on a ticket’.
Another fan responded to the comment: ‘Likewise, I tried so hard to get into this topic but I couldn’t.’
Another noted: ‘I wish I hadn’t bought tickets early for this.

No stranger to the West End, Cynthia made her debut in 2011 in The Umbrellas Of Cherbourg.
His mother Edith was there to support him at the show
‘My night was plagued by technical issues and staging issues but worst of all Cynthia was struggling to remember her lines and her place in the script (despite automatic cues appearing on both sides).
‘I think it was a retread of the Dorian Gray experience with a weaker story line.
‘I’m sure the issues will be resolved within a few weeks and it will be fantastic and I fully accept that if you buy tickets at the start of the run you should be prepared for mishaps but to be honest this is disappointing.’

No stranger to the West End, Cynthia made her debut in The Umbrellas Of Cherbourg in 2011 and went on to win the 2013 Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role in The Color Purple.
She reprized this award-winning role for the Broadway production and received the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 2016.
After the disastrous Wicked press tour, Cynthia could finally start getting the glory she deserves with her new one-woman release.
Since the release of Wicked in 2024 and its sequel last year, he and Ariana have faced criticism for their behavior during the promotional blitz.
Cynthia, who plays Elphaba, and Ariana, who plays Glinda, were both rejected for Oscar nominations this season, despite the film’s rave reviews.
