Case booked against Haldiram’s outlet in Attapur for selling fungus-infected sweets

A case has been registered against Haldiram’s store in Attapur, Hyderabad, after a customer alleged that it was selling sweets contaminated with fungus.
The woman allegedly purchased sweets worth ₹ 100 from the store and later found that these sweets contained fungi. When he confronted store staff, they allegedly abused him and used obscene language.
Later, photos and videos showing the infested sweets surfaced online. The samples were collected from the point of sale and will be sent for analysis by a food safety inspector, officials said. A case has been registered by Attapur police and further investigation is on.
