A major emergency is underway at Edinburgh Tesco, where a number of vehicles, including an air ambulance, have been spotted in the area. The incident began in the supermarket car park on Meadow Place Road, Corstorphine, just after 9am this morning.

Photos taken from the scene show a busy emergency team cordoned off as an air ambulance landed recently. A car and a pedestrian were involved in the collision. A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We were called at around 9.10am on Wednesday 18 February 2026 to reports of an accident involving a car and a male pedestrian in a car park in the Meadow Place Road area of ​​Edinburgh.

“Emergency services are ready and the investigation is ongoing.”
