‘Monster’ raped girl, 13, who had been passed ‘from man to man’ since age 11 | UK | News

A “monster” who raped a 13-year-old girl in Rotherham, who “switched from one man to another” from the age of 11, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Father-of-three Riyasth Hussain, 45, was confronted at Sheffield Crown Court by the woman, now in her 30s, who told him in the witness box: “You didn’t just steal my childhood, you stole the rest of my life.”
The woman, who has not been named, confronted Hussain as she described how she had been abused by men in Rotherham since she was 11 and described how Hussain would rape her “at every opportunity” and then “throw me away like I was nothing”.
Sitting on the dock, he looked directly at her and said: “When you met me, I was a fragile, defenseless little girl who you could easily exploit.
“Today I am a woman and my only goal is justice. Today I got justice. I am happy that I finally overthrew you.”
Hussain was convicted on Thursday of raping the girl and a woman in her 20s between 2004 and 2008.
The second woman said in her statement to the court: “I can never forgive this monster for what he did to me.
“I will hate him until the day I die.
“It completely ruined my life.”
Sentencing Hussain, Judge Sarah Wright told the court she wanted to recognize the bravery of the two women.
He told Hussein that the women, who were around 13 years old at the time of the rapes, were “transferred from one man to another” and that he “believed such behavior was normal and you were exploiting it.”
The judge said: “Their lives will be affected forever.
“The damage you have done cannot and will never be repaired.”
“For years their voices have not been heard. Their voices have not been heard,” he said.
But he added that they had “shown incalculable courage” to make sure their voices were now heard.
