Sudha Reddy Foundation & MEIL Upgrade Classrooms at Hyderabad School

Hyderabad: On the occasion of World Social Justice Day, Sudha Reddy Foundation, together with MEIL Foundation, on February 20, 2026, supported students at Rabindra Niketan High School in Irrum Manzil, a school built by MEIL Foundation and Sudha Reddy Foundation, with a major classroom infrastructure upgrade aimed at improving the daily learning of children from poor backgrounds.
The opening ceremony was held at the school on February 20 and was attended by approximately 250 students, teachers and alumni.
As part of the initiative, the trusts helped create a more comfortable and orderly learning environment for students and staff by providing 224 new student desks, storage lockers for classrooms and furniture for teachers and the school principal.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Sudha Reddy, Founder, Sudha Reddy Foundation, said: “For many children, especially those facing challenges at home, a suitable desk and chair means more than just furniture. It gives them a sense of stability and security. We believe that every child deserves a respectful space to learn and grow.”
Rabindra Niketan High School serves children from some of Hyderabad’s most vulnerable communities, many of whom have limited access to basic educational resources. The new classroom layout is expected to help students focus better and be more motivated in school.
The program included a lamp lighting ceremony, ribbon cutting, student performances and interactions with the school community. MEIL Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Megha Engineering & Infrastructure Limited (MEIL), has partnered in the initiative as part of ongoing efforts to support education and social development.
The initiative highlights how collaborative efforts between philanthropic and corporate organizations can make a meaningful difference by improving learning spaces and bringing hope and encouragement to young students across the city.
