‘Every night I used to…’

During an interview, this senior actor remembered how to eat in a small one near Bandon Station in those difficult days.
Actor Ronit Bose Roy recently shared the emotional story of his first struggles in Mumbai. Before fame and success, life was far from being easy for him, he explained that he survived only at only one meal a day, and he usually had no money to buy food.
During an interview with Hindi Rush, Ronit remembered how to eat in a small dabada near the Bandon Station. “I was eating there every night, there’s only one meal a day because I had a meal every night.
He remembered a day he had no money. He just asked for two rotis and onions. Surprisingly, a gentle worker in Daba served him to Dal and said, “This is by me.” Ronit said the moment was with him forever.
The first big break and a turning point
When he bought 50,000 las for his first film in 1991, things began to change slowly. “All the movies I made held me in the mouth.”
He made his first exit with Jaan Tere Naam, who became a surprise hit in 1992 and gained popularity. However, the following films did not work well and struggled to stay on the agenda.
A new start on TV
Ronit Roy’s real return took place in the early 2000s – not in movies, but on television. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu won the audience with his strong roles in Hit TV shows, such as Kasautii Zundagii Kay, and helped to rebuild his career.
