Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin extended his wishes and greeted the Tamil language on the occasion of International Mother Language Day on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
“Long live Tamil. So many people have sacrificed their lives to protect Tamil. No matter what magnificent titles we use to praise it, the joy we feel when we call our language ‘Thamizhae’ [Oh! Tamil] immeasurable,” Mr. Stalin said in a post on X.
He also said that it is the responsibility of Tamils worldwide to preserve the language, pass it on to future generations and ensure its development.
He also sang a song based on a famous poem penned by former Prime Minister M. Karunanidhi and congratulated the musicians who participated in this song.
