Kate Middleton made a glittering return to the red carpet at the 2026 British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) alongside Prince William alongside Hollywood stars like Kate Hudson and Emma Stone.
The BAFTAs, Britain’s annual celebration of the year’s best films, were held at London’s Royal Festival Hall on 22 February 2026, hosted by actor Alan Cumming.
The Prince and Princess of Wales made a surprise appearance at the event, attending the awards together for the first time since 2023.

Middleton dazzled in a floor-length, flowing pink Gucci gown that featured sheer layers in pale and rose tones and a deep red velvet belt. The princess, who is famous for recycling her fashion, previously wore the dress when she attended the 100 Women in Finance gala dinner in 2019.

Speaking on the red carpet, William shed light on his current emotional state by stating that he had not yet watched the moving period drama “Hamnet,” which received 11 BAFTA nominations.

According to the outlet, William said Middleton watched “Hamnet” the night before the BAFTAs and that the film “brought her to tears.”

Stone, who also won best leading actress, dared to go nude in a floor-length black halter dress that featured a dramatic keyhole cut, reaching almost to her navel and also featuring a long train. The “Bugonia” star wore simple rhinestone jewelry that included stud earrings and a bracelet, and sported strappy black heels.

The actress was accessorized with Chanel jewelry, including diamond and sapphire earrings and a multi-gemstone ring.
