Infamous photo of shamed Andrew being driven from police station after 11 hours in custody is framed and ‘put on display at the Louvre’

A disgraceful photo of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor being taken away from Norfolk police station has been hung in the Louvre Museum by activists.

British political campaign group Everybody Hates Elon hung the photo on the wall of its Paris gallery on Sunday.

Andrew is seen bent over in the back seat of the Range Rover after spending 11 hours in police custody at Aylsham Police Station.

The photo was taken following his arrest at Sandringham Estate on Thursday on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

The former Duke of York faces allegations that he sent secret government documents to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein while working as a trade envoy between 2001 and 2011.

Emails released by the U.S. Department of Justice in January show him sharing reports about official visits to the pedophile.

Andrew, who turned 66 on the day of his arrest, had previously denied any wrongdoing regarding Epstein and publicly stated that he regretted their friendship.

He left his Windsor home, Royal Lodge, in October 2025 and moved to a smaller, privately funded address in Sandringham.

Andrew is eighth in line to the throne and removing him would be the most significant change in the line of succession since Edward VIII’s abdication.

This requires an Act of Parliament and Downing Street must have the approval of 14 other Commonwealth countries, including Jamaica, Canada and Australia.
