Sharad Pawar’s health stable, showing steady improvement: Doctors

The condition of NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar, who was admitted to a private hospital here due to dehydration, is stable and showing a steady recovery, doctors said on Monday (February 23, 2026).
The 85-year-old Rajya Sabha member was admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic on Sunday, February 22, 2026, due to dehydration.
The hospital’s chief cardiologist, president and chairman of the board of trustees, Dr. “Sharad Pawar is clinically stable and showing a steady recovery. He has started taking oral fluids and a light diet, and his vital parameters remain within normal limits,” Purvez Grant said in a statement.
Dr. Mr Pawar continues to receive supportive care and will remain under observation for the next two days to ensure full recovery and adequate rest, Grant said.
Earlier, the former Union Minister was admitted to the same hospital on February 9 due to chest infection and was discharged on February 14.
