Sir Keir Starmer has shown “ambivalence” about appointing Lord Peter Mandelson as US ambassador, a senior Conservative has said.
Shadow chancellor Sir Mel Stride said in an interview with Sky News that there was “a lot we need to know” about how the appointment was made.
