According to information obtained, an F-16 jet was involved in the horror plane crash in Balıkesir.

Ambulance and police vehicles are at the scene of the accident that occurred near the Bursa-İzmir highway.

In the footage, people can be seen running to the scene with debris strewn on the ground.

City Governor İsmail Ustaoğlu said: “One of our F-16 aircraft belonging to the Balıkesir 9th Main Jet Base Command fleet crashed during a mission flight at around 00.50, and one of our pilots was martyred. I wish God’s mercy on our martyr and my condolences to his family. I offer my condolences to our beloved nation.”
