GHMC for door-to-door garbage collection every single day

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner RV Karnan directed officials to ensure daily door-to-door collection of garbage.

Mr. Karnan, along with district commissioner Ravi Kiran, visited areas from Indira Park to Secunderabad Railway Station and carried out comprehensive cleanliness inspections.

Field inspections were carried out in areas around Surabhi Park, P&T Colony, Gandhi Nagar Division, Kavadiguda and Secunderabad Railway Station. The Commissioner personally reviewed the involvement of Swachh Auto employees and examined the regularity and effectiveness of cleaning operations at the ground level, the statement said.

The Commissioner directed the Deputy Commissioners and engineering officials in charge of solid waste management to strictly monitor the employees of Swachh Auto sanitation to ensure mandatory daily door-to-door waste collection. He emphasized that public places, parks, roads, avenues and major intersections should be kept clean and hygienic at all times.

Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation Commissioner T. Vinay Krishna Reddy also carried out a surprise inspection at Kapra Circle to inspect sanitation. He visited Old Kapra, Daba Garden and Yellareddyguda areas, apart from the secondary collection point on Saket Road. He directed to increase Secondary Collection points for Garbage. He interacted with the residents of the colony and motivated them to deliver the garbage to Swachh Auto Tippers.
