Cuba’s coast guard killed four people and wounded six others

Cuban coast guard shot four people aboard a U.S.-registered speedboat and injured six others during a fire off the island’s coast, the Interior Ministry said Wednesday.
In its statement, the ministry said that a Cuban patrol ship approached the Florida-registered boat and “fire was opened from the boat” to detect those on board, and the captain of the Cuban ship was injured.
The statement said, “As a result of the conflict outside, 4 of the attackers were killed and 6 were injured.”
The ministry added that the injured were evacuated and receiving treatment. No further details were immediately provided about the identities or nationalities of those involved and the exact location of the incident was not specified.
