Pro-Palestinian activists vandalized Winston Churchill’s statue in Westminster.

Slogans included ‘Zionist war criminal’Slogans ‘Stop the Genocide’, ‘Never Not Now Again’ and ‘Globalize the Intifada’ were painted in red paint throughout the night.

The vandals also reportedly wrote the phrase ‘Greetings from The Hague’ in Dutch.

Westminster heritage wardens were photographed last night covering graffiti with tape and plastic bin bags.

According to an eyewitness, the area has been cordoned off and is being cleared.

Reacting to the incident, Conservative Party deputy leader Matt Vickers told GB News: ‘This is disgusting and despicable. Whoever is doing this needs to be held accountable.

‘When we came into office we put forward legislation to help tackle this.

‘This is an attack on democracy, an attack on this country, its culture, its history.’

The statue was destroyed overnight

The images sparked outrage online, with one user X saying: ‘Without Churchill there would be no Britain to protest. The Vandals hate him because he opposed everything they pretend to fight for today.’

Another wrote: ‘I don’t want to share a country with people who think Churchill should be dishonored and physically vandalize his statue.’

A third said: ‘It’s a sacred symbol to the British. ‘An attack on this statue is an attack on the heart of Britain.’

The statue has stood in front of the Houses of Parliament since 1973.
