Star Wars figure packaging to sell for £15k

The cardboard packaging of a Princess Leia figure from Star Wars could sell for as high as £15,000 at auction.
The 1978 pre-production evidence card was used by Kenner to check the quality control of its toy line; This means it has no bubbles and no actual figure of the late Carrie Fisher’s iconic character has been added.
It will go under the hammer in Louisiana on March 8th.
LCG Auctions founder Mark Montero said the rare find was an “extremely rare Leia pre-production evidence card” from the original work, The Sun reported.
He explained that the lot came from the estate of a long-time collector and described it as a “stunning” with vibrant colors on the front and back that were “virtually free of blemishes.”
The card is “completely flat and unperforated”.
Mark added that evidence cards have “really caught fire” in the last few years, largely due to their scarcity.
Most have populations under 30 years of age, compared to the standard figure of 500 to 1000.
