Teenage boy dies after being hit by two cars on his way to school

A teenage boy who was hit by two cars while walking to and from school in Perth’s south has died.
The 13-year-old student died when he was struck by two vehicles while crossing Warnbro Sound Ave near Holcombe Rd, a 70kph zone, after getting off the bus at around 8.30am on Friday.
The child was treated by medical teams and died at the scene.
In the tragic images on the roadside, the child’s clothes can be seen scattered on the road.
WA police force commander Mike Peters told a press conference on Friday that the incident had prompted an investigation by the major crash unit.
“This is just one example of someone whose family and life were changed forever,” Commander Peters said.
It is understood Warnbro Community High School has contacted parents to inform them of the incident and has offered support to those affected by the tragedy.
Neither driver was injured during the incident.
