Recently, the US military began major combat operations in Iran. Our goal is to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime, a group of very harsh and scary people.

Their threatening activities directly endanger the United States, our troops, our overseas bases, and our allies around the world. For 47 years, the Iranian regime has chanted death slogans against America and waged an endless campaign of bloodshed and mass murder targeting the United States, our soldiers, and innocent people in many countries.

Among the regime’s first actions was supporting the violent takeover of the US embassy in Tehran, where dozens of Americans were held hostage for 444 days. In 1983, Iranian proxies bombed the Marine Corps barracks in Beirut, killing 241 American military personnel.

They knew about and were likely involved in the attack on the USS Coal in 2000. Many died. Iranian forces have killed and maimed hundreds of American soldiers in Iraq. Regime proxies have continued to launch numerous attacks in recent years against American forces deployed in the Middle East as well as U.S. naval and commercial ships on international shipping routes.

There was mass terrorism. And we won’t put up with it any longer. The regime has armed, trained and financed terrorist militias that have drenched the world in blood and courage, from Lebanon to Yemen, from Syria to Iraq.
