Musi Project Is A Scam, Says KTR

Hyderabad: Describing the Musi rejuvenation project as an evolving scam, BRS working president KT Rama Rao said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy demolished thousands of houses just to secure contracts and do real estate business. The BRS leader alleged that the Prime Minister was risking the future of the poor to benefit those close to him.
Rama Rao was speaking after participating in the ‘Musi Dandi March’ organized by affected families near Musi river. He alleged that Congress’s “bulldozer rule” has become a norm since Revanth Reddy came to power.
Speaking at the Madhu Park Ridge apartments, which are at the center of the controversy over land acquisition, the former minister said BRS will come back to power in the next two years and save his properties. Rama Rao said that Revanth Reddy, who destroyed hundreds of houses in the name of HYDRAA, also started demolitions in the districts and displaced the residents.
“Why does the Congress government, which is destroying the houses of the poor with the lie that there are houses in Musi, not touch the farmhouses, villas and houses of its own ministers and party representatives?” he asked.
NRR Criticizes Cong Over Demolition of Poor Houses in Velugumatla
Hyderabad: State BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Sunday slammed the Congress government for allegedly demolishing the houses of poor workers at Velugumatla in Khammam district in violation of Supreme Court orders. He accused the government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of leaving 1,800 people from 600 households homeless by ignoring repeated court directives to maintain the status quo.
After visiting the area near the collector’s office and meeting the displaced families, he said these residents, who have been living there since 2013-14, have built houses with their hard-earned savings and by selling jewellery.
Ramchander Rao said, “It is terrible and shameful that the structures are being demolished despite the Supreme Court’s stay order.” He claimed that evicting poor families resulted in real estate gains, despite skyrocketing land prices following the establishment of the collectorate and the upcoming highway project.
The state BJP president alleged that revenue officials were issuing eviction notices even as cases were pending under multiple status quo orders. The government cited forged documents and illegal allocations by the revenue department and Bhoodan Board as excuses but questioned “who gave them the authority to act this way”.
Ramachander Rao said that since Revanth Reddy came to power, “he seems to be going around with a crowbar and destroying poor people’s houses and this is an inhumane attitude.” He attributed this to the previous BRS government’s similar failed eviction attempts in 2023.
The BJP chief demanded that the state government correct its mistake and provide emergency shelter by building permanent houses in the area at least under the Indiramma scheme. To provide relief to families, BJP leaders distributed annadanam (free food) in the area. “This anti-people oppressive government will face people’s anger. BJP will fight for the rights of the poor,” he promised.
Online CPD Services for Doctors Launched
Hyderabad: Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) has launched online continuing professional development (CPD) services offering a fully digital system to facilitate CPD applications, approvals and certification for TGMC approved medical institutions.
The new platform will reduce the administrative burden on medical associations by enabling CPD programs to be delivered online and processed in real time. Participating doctors will now receive digital certificates directly via their registered email IDs, ensuring a secure, transparent and paperless process.
To increase reliability and prevent proxy attendance, TGMC has also introduced an on-site live photo capture system for delegates attending events. Additionally, the platform also provides automatic verification of TGMC registration details through real-time retrieval of official registration data from the TGMC portal before CPD credits are issued.
