Hero UK driver saves teenage girl from being kidnapped | UK | News

The heroic driver stepped in to prevent the kidnapping of the young girl who got off the bus. The driver’s actions were praised by police who are now urging him to come forward. A 33-year-old man was arrested in Pontrennau, Cardiff, on Saturday in what police are treating as an attempted kidnapping of an 18-year-old woman.
South Wales Police said someone tried to follow the young woman from the bus at the junction of Clos Nant Mwlan and Heol Pontprennau at around 6.30pm. The man was arrested a few hours after the incident was reported to authorities.
The brave female driver who intervened was driving a black car. He stopped and helped the young woman along with the police, hoping the driver would contact police as the investigation continued.
Detective Inspector Laura Parsons said: “Incidents such as this are extremely rare and I would like to reassure people that we have arrested a suspect who is in police custody.
“I would like to praise the woman who stopped her car to intervene. It’s really important that we identify who she is so she can get in touch.”
