Jharkhand CM urges PM to ensure safe return of stranded Indians from Gulf nations

Terming the rapidly evolving situation in the Gulf countries as a matter of “extreme concern”, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday, March 2, 2026, urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take necessary steps to ensure the safe return of Indians stranded in the region.
Mr. Soren assured that his government will provide all assistance to citizens of the State stranded abroad.

He appealed to all residents of Jharkhand as well as people across India living in the Gulf states to remain vigilant, assuring them that “India is with you”. “Specially, I appeal to all Jharkhandians residing in #GulfStates to contact Jharkhand State Immigration Control Room @migrantcell_JH in case of any trouble,” his post said.
