Trump will attend White House Correspondents’ Dinner for first time as president | Donald Trump

Donald Trump said Monday that he will attend the White House Correspondents’ Dinner for the first time as president.
Trump wrote the following in his social media post: in question: “In honor of our Nation’s 250th Birthday and with respect to the fact that these ‘Reporters’ now recognize that I am truly one of the Greatest Presidents in the History of our Country, the GOAT, to many, would be My Honor to accept their invitation and work to make this THE BIGGEST, HOTTEST, MOST AMAZING DINNER OF ANY TYPE OF ANY KIND!”
Trump boycotted the dinner for the first time in 2017 and has not attended one since, during either term of his presidency. Every president before Trump has attended the dinner at least once. the first one was made in 1921.
Trump had previously attended the dinner as a guest; most famously in 2011 when then-president Barack Obama and host Seth Meyers brutally mocked him and his presidential ambitions.
Trump won’t have to worry about a comedian offending him at this year’s dinner, as the White House Correspondents’ Association did invited mentalist Oz Pearlman to entertain guests.
Since Trump returns to the presidency in 2025, his allies have acquired major media companies, including David Ellison’s purchase of Paramount, the parent company of CBS News. Last week, Paramount made a successful bid to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery, which operates CNN.
