Ex-England and Liverpool footballer Andy Carroll faces trial next year ‘after breaching non-molestation order by repeatedly calling TOWIE star ex-wife Billi Mucklow’

Former England and Liverpool striker Andy Carroll will appear in court next year accused of violating a non-harassment order against his ex-wife Billi Mucklow, star of The Only Way Is Essex.
The former Premier League star, who now plays for National League South club Dagenham and Redbridge, is accused of repeatedly calling Ms Mucklow ‘without reasonable excuse’ on March 11, 2025.
Carroll was arrested at Stansted Airport on April 27 last year for allegedly breaching a non-harassment order.
The court injunction, which is usually imposed to prevent a person from communicating with another person, was introduced by the Family Court at Chelmsford Justice Center on 10 October 2024.
Carroll was due to enter his formal plea at Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday morning, but neither he nor his defense lawyers attended the plea and trial preparation hearing.
In Carroll’s absence, Judge Chris Morgan said: ‘I will schedule the hearing for two days, January 18 next year.’
Commenting on his whereabouts, the judge added: ‘For all we know he could be in France or Dubai, who knows?’
The judge told the court: ‘I will adjourn Andrew Carroll’s hearing until March 4th’ after prosecutor Leanne Hemming told Carroll’s lawyers she believed the hearing would be held tomorrow.
Carroll, who recently had surgery on a fracture and ligaments, last appeared on crutches at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on February 4, where he pleaded not guilty to breaching a non-molestation order against Miss Mucklow.
Former Liverpool and Newcastle striker Andy Carroll arrived at court on crutches on February 4. However, he did not attend the Chelmsford Crown Court hearing scheduled for March 3.

Carroll split from the reality TV star in July 2024 after a tumultuous two-year marriage and began divorce proceedings last September. They have three children together: sons Arlo and Wolf and daughter Marve.
Ms Mucklow appeared on The Only Way Is Essex from 2011 to 2013, returning briefly in 2018.
Carroll, who is said to have met at the Glastonbury Festival last June, is currently dating makeup artist Lou Teasdale, 42.
The striker, from Epping, Essex, was reportedly attacked by police shortly after landing in England at Stansted Airport from France last April.
A spokesman for Essex Police previously said: ‘A man has been charged with breaching a non-harassment order.
‘Andrew Carroll, 36, of Epping, was arrested on April 27 and the alleged offenses relate to an incident that occurred in March this year.’
A source who spoke to the Sun at the time of his arrest said Carroll was questioned by officers and briefly detained.
‘A problem appeared to have been reported to Border Force officers at passport control at Stansted, which led to the police being called. “He was questioned and then taken away,” they said.
‘It caused quite a commotion as there were many other passengers at the location where he was arrested.’
The penalty for breaching a non-harassment order ranges from a fine to up to five years in prison in the most serious cases.
