“A total of 164 tourists from Maharashtra, who were stranded in the United Arab Emirates due to the US-Israel-Iran conflict, returned home in two flights organized by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde,” a Shiv Sena official said on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. he said.

“Two planes carrying 76 and 88 tourists landed in Mumbai on Tuesday night (March 3, 2026). These included 84 students of Pune-based Indira School of Business Studies and residents of Thane, Ahilyanagar and Pune,” he said. “The private fights were organized by Mr. Shinde, who heads the Shiv Sena,” the party leader said.
In a statement on Tuesday, Mr Shinde’s office said two planes carrying stranded Maharashtra residents would depart from the UAE’s Fujairah Airport for Mumbai at 3.30pm and 4.30pm.
