LIV Golfers deal with uncertainty as Middle East erupts in conflict

LIV Golfers have experienced travel difficulties in the last few days as conflict erupted in the Middle East as the US and Israel launched a joint attack against Iran.
Nearly a dozen LIV Golfers have been stranded in the area as players prepare for the Asian leg of the 2026 season in Dubai. The series is scheduled to be held this weekend with a tournament in Hong Kong and next week in Singapore.

Lee Westwood, Laurie Canter, Sam Horsfield, Adrian Meronk, Thomas Detry, Caleb Surratt, Tom McKibbin and Anirban Lahiri were among the golfers affected. Golf Roast.

McKibbin shared on Instagram Stories that he was in Hong Kong.

Meronk wrote to X: “I arrived in Hong Kong safely, thank you to everyone who helped get there and thank you for your messages and concerns.” “Everyone in the UAE, stay safe and I hope I can go home soon.”
The State Department on Monday urged Americans to immediately leave more than a dozen countries in the Middle East and warned of “serious security risks” as the Iran war intensifies.

Mora Namdar, US Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs, said US citizens should leave Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
