Juvenile Held In 40 Gram Gold Chain Snatching

BENGALUR: The Hebbagodi police of Bengaluru city nabbed a child who was in conflict with the law and recovered a 40 gram gold chain that he allegedly snatched from a woman around 6.45 pm on February 2 this year, when the woman was walking near a drinking water factory in Kachanayakanahalli with her two children.
In the note they wrote here on Wednesday, the police said that the woman was attacked from behind by an unidentified person and that she grabbed the barbecue chain from behind and ran away from the scene. A case has been registered by Hebbagodi police.
Under the guidance of DCP Electronic City Division M. Narayana and ACP KM Satish, the police gathered reliable information before arresting the accused, who was standing near Government School in Kachanayakanahalli. It was reported that the suspect confessed to the chain snatching incident.
Police recovered 40 grams of gold chain stolen by the accused and the value of the gold chain was Rs 6.22 lakh. The child was brought before the Juvenile Justice Board and the necessary action was taken against the defendant in accordance with the law.
