Two held with 202 grams of suspected MDMA

Two teenagers were arrested for allegedly possessing 202 grams of suspected MDMA in one of the largest shipments of synthetic drugs in the city this year.

The arrested are Akshay Panachikapadom (29) from Maradu and Reshma Nakulath (34) from Vengoor, Thiruvananthapuram. They were caught at an apartment in Thripunithura.

In a separate incident, a 32-year-old man named Jithin Dcruz from Palluruthy was arrested with 13.27 grams of suspected MDMA.

The arrests were made during a joint operation by the police, Excise, Narcotics Control Bureau and dog team. Six people were arrested in five cases registered for alleged drug dealing while driving, Kochi City police said on Wednesday.
