Emotional Kelly Osbourne makes surprise Masked Singer cameo for Ozzy-themed show… after firing back at ‘cruel’ body-shaming trolls

Kelly Osbourne made a surprise cameo as a guest judge on the latest episode of The Masked Singer for Ozzfest Night.

The 41-year-old star, who is the daughter of the late Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne, was greeted with applause from the live audience when she joined the rest of the judging panel.

It comes just days after she lashed out at ‘cruel’ body-shaming trolls after taking to the stage at the 2026 BRIT Awards last weekend.

Host Nick Cannon welcomed Osbourne to the singing competition series and asked her how it felt to be on the show once again.

‘Do you know? It feels a little emotional, I can’t lie,’ the TV personality admitted. ‘But I’m so grateful to be here.’

Wednesday’s episode of The Masked Singer paid a special tribute to his late father and rock icon, who passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76.

But Osbourne is no stranger to the Fox competition series, and notably competed as Ladybug in the second season.

‘This is so hard!’ He admitted that he was one of the jury members of the special episode.

‘I know what it feels like to be in this costume and it’s so nerve-wracking and it takes away all your senses,’ the star recalled. ‘But as a judge I have a lot more empathy because, you know, you’re just being tried out there.’

Towards the end of the night, one of the contestants, Pangolin, sent a touching message to Osbourne, hinting at who they might be.

‘Kelly, I know you’ve lost more than we could ever imagine. “You’re not alone,” they said while in full costume.

The camera then cut to Osbourne, who had tears in her eyes before placing her hands over her heart.

Pangolin continued: ‘We are all so lucky to honor your father tonight. And we hope we’ve made you feel at home, even if just for a moment.’

“It’s going to make me cry,” co-host Jenny McCarthy said, while Osbourne quietly added, “Me too.”

Pangolin then emotionally sang the late rock star’s song Mama, I’m Coming Home.

All the judges then jumped to their feet to applaud the performance, with Osbourne saying: ‘That was absolutely incredible.’

Then, through tears, she added: ‘Thank you. Thank you very much. You were the hardest song for me to hear tonight and you did it so justice and sang it so beautifully.

“And I’m trying everything not to cry right now,” Osbourne confessed, prompting Pangolin to respond, “That was for you.” I prayed before going on stage. “Tonight isn’t about me. It’s about Kelly.”‘

Osbourne briefly buried her face in her hands as the crowd began clapping in support.

Her cameo on The Masked Singer comes just a day after the star revealed why she always stands up for those she cares about in a heartbreaking post: ‘Because I know what it feels like when there’s no one there for you.’

She shared the post on her Instagram stories on Tuesday after hitting back at those who criticized her body during the ‘toughest time of her life’.

Osbourne was forced to defend her appearance once again after the BRIT Awards on Saturday night, when she and her mother Sharon took the stage to accept a posthumous Lifetime Achievement award on behalf of her beloved father.

Then, through tears, she added: 'Thank you. Thank you very much. You were the hardest song for me to hear tonight and you did it so justice and sang it so beautifully.'

After seeing comments about her appearance, Osbourne shared a post from Mia Tyler, the daughter of Aerosmith star Steve Tyler, who showed support for Osbourne and included an impassioned message with the caption: ‘How hard is it to not be hurt?’

Immediately following the BRITs, Osbourne slammed ‘cruel’ trolls for ‘tearing someone’s appearance apart rather than honoring their bravery’.

He wrote: ‘There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something.

‘Kicking me when I fell, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, turning your back when I needed support and love the most…’

‘None of it proves strength, it just reveals a profound absence of character. I’m going through the hardest time of my life right now. I shouldn’t even have to defend myself. But I’m not going to sit here and allow myself to be dehumanized like this.’

The mother and daughter duo, who posed for photos with Sharon at the awards ceremony, were dressed in black for the occasion as they arrived at the Co-op Live Arena.

Osbourne wore a striking black dress that included a matching furry jacket to keep her warm on the carpet.

Meanwhile, Sharon opted for a black three-piece suit as she proudly posed with her daughter before accepting Ozzy’s bittersweet award.

Kelly’s attendance at various public events in recent months, including a front-row appearance at London Fashion Week, has raised serious concerns about her health and welfare.

The singer and TV star, who has denied using weight-loss injections, looked slim as she attended Ascot Haberdashery Collective’s latest catwalk presentation at Claridge’s, Mayfair.

Osbourne shared a screenshot of the nasty message on Instagram: ‘He looks like a corpse… so weak and fragile… looks like he’ll be seeing his father soon,’ followed by a series of laughing emojis.

Commenting on Monday, the mum-of-one, who also responded to the post with some dismay, wrote: ‘I honestly can’t believe how disgusting some people are! No one deserves this kind of abuse!’
