JD(U) Supporters Refuse to Believe Nitish Kumar’s Decision

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s decision to file his candidature for the Rajya Sabha elections, paving the way for a new Chief Minister in the state, has surprised Janata Dal (United) workers and supporters.
Protesting outside the Prime Minister’s residence in Patna, JD(U) workers and supporters refused to believe that Nitish Kumar had decided to give up the post of Chief Minister.
Reacting to Nitish Kumar’s endorsement of a post on X, a JDU employee said, “It is possible that his account has been compromised.”
Another worker said that they will stage a protest if CM Nitish Kumar does not change his decision.
Another supporter said, “Nitish Kumar cannot insult the authority of the people. There is huge pressure on him as part of a big conspiracy.”
Another supporter looked distraught over Nitish Kumar’s decision and urged him to stay on as CM.
“This is heartbreaking. Till date, Nitish Kumar has been serving the people of Bihar from the student movement… People of Bihar consider him as their family. No one can be the Chief Minister here except Nitish Kumar. We want Nitish Kumar to remain CM,” he said.
Nitish Kumar confirmed that he will go to Rajya Sabha and file his candidacy in the current election cycle. The 75-year-old leader also said that the new cabinet will give him full support.
