Sherrone Moore and wife hold hands in Michigan court

Former Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore was seen holding hands with his wife, Kelli, in Ann Arbor district court Friday morning.
Moore became a defendant in a criminal case after he was arrested shortly after being fired for an inappropriate relationship with an employee. Shortly after the shooting, he was jailed for allegedly breaking into a staff member’s home and threatens to kill himself.
Prosecutors accused Moore of communicating with the employee through phone calls and texts after the separation, which led to the woman contacting the University of Michigan and cooperating with the investigation.
Moore was later fired from his position as head football coach, which prosecutors said prompted him to show up at her home.

Moore then allegedly entered the home, grabbed a butter knife and a pair of kitchen shears, and began threatening his own life. Moore allegedly told staff, “You’ve got my blood on your hands” and “You ruined my life,” according to prosecutors.
Moore’s wife also appeared in court in January.
Kelli called 911 over concerns that the former Michigan coach was “going to hurt himself” after being “fired from his job.”

At an initial hearing held shortly after his arrest, a prosecutor said Moore and the alleged victim had “an intimate relationship for several years.”
The alleged mistress’s contract with the university was not renewed, the school confirmed to Fox News Digital in a statement earlier this week.
If convicted, Moore would face more than half a decade behind bars, further damaging his hopes of stepping aside.
Moore went 16-8 as Michigan’s head coach; 8-5 in year one and 7-3 last season. He missed two matches due to suspension Sign theft investigation.

Moore replaced Jim Harbaugh after the team finished the season 15-0 en route to the national championship. Moore was that team’s offensive coordinator.
