Hello and welcome to our qualifying coverage from Melbourne’s Albert Park.

I am Hannah Kennelly. and I’ll take you through all the action as our own Oscar Piastri tries to become the first Australian to take pole position in his home grand prix.

We know we should always expect the unexpected in the first round of a new season, but that’s especially true today given the multitude of rule changes and reliability issues teams are facing.
