DHS hammers Democrats for long TSA airport security lines amid funding lapse

The Department of Homeland Security blamed Democrats for travelers facing long security lines due to cuts in DHS funding.
“Americans are now enduring the severe effects of the Democratic shutdown of DHS. Travelers today face long TSA lines of up to nearly 3 hours at some major airports, resulting in missed flights and major delays during peak travel,” Lauren Bis, DHS assistant secretary for public affairs, said in a statement, according to Transportation Security Administration posts published on X on Sunday. he said.
“This chaos is a direct result of Democrats and their refusal to fund DHS. These political demonstrations are forcing patriotic TSA officers who protect our skies from serious threats to work without pay,” the statement said.
