Navalny supporters publish official Russian autopsy
Supporters of Russian dissident Alexei Navalny, who died in a penal colony two years ago, have released official autopsy details of his death.

The 270-page forensic examination was prepared in mid-2024 and had been in the possession of Navalny’s relatives for the last 18 months.
Pevchikh claimed that “its content does not meet any ethical standards, even the most minimal standards.”
Russian authorities have long claimed that the opposition leader died of natural causes on February 16, 2024, at the age of 47.
His family and team say he was killed on the orders of President Vladimir Putin.
On the second anniversary of his death, his widow Yulia Navalnaya and German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul announced on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference that Navalny had been poisoned with a powerful nerve poison.
Without presenting the lab reports, they cited lab results showing poisoning with a known toxin from South American dart frogs.
Russia rejected the claims of the family and Western politicians and reported its objections to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
He also denies allegations that Navalny was poisoned with the Novichok nerve agent, from which he recovered in 2022.
Pevchikh rejected Russia’s official position.
“Alexei Navalny’s poisoning was confirmed by many foreign laboratories that examined biomaterial samples taken from Russia,” he said.
“The toxin was even named – epibatidine,” he said, adding that the official Russian report was “sanitized and redacted.”
He said the family still decided to publish the autopsy report to respond to the information needs of millions of supporters of the deceased dissident.
